Silverfox rolled his eyes, languidly stretching out his long legs. He cast a sideways glance at his sister. "I'll be fine, Red, don't worry about it! It's just a little checking up on the border. Nothing big, I promise," he said. The pale grey warrior gave his younger sister a reassuring lick on her forehead, earning him a light swat on his muzzle. "Okay, fine. I won't come. Just don't do anything stupid." Silverfox feigned a hurt expression, his paw on his chest. "Oh, sister, how you wound me! When have I ever done anything stupid? Actually, no, don't answer that. But it'll only take a short time. I'll be back before you know it."
With that, Silverfox turned and left for the stream. His fur ruffled in the wind as he raced through the open moorlands, a grin on his face. His muscles strained with every lengthy bound, and finally, Silverfox slowed beside the stream. He remarked the border, humming a tune to himself. The gurgling of the water passing through calmed him. "See? All good. Red doesn't know what she's worrying ab—" Rustling caught the young warrior's attention. Eyes narrowed, he lowered his head and straightened his tail in a show of dominance.

Dark eyes swept across camp with disinterest. He was bored. It was official. Darkstorm was bored out of his mind! His apprentice was being an irritating little flea and she succeeded in getting beneath his fur. He needed something to calm him down; something that didn't have the white fur ball in his view point! Huffing the dark grey tabby stalked from camp. Deciding on taking a walk. Maybe get a hunting or a border (or both) patrols In. Perhaps get some more training in. Really anything would do at that point for the dark warrior. His small paws found themselves leading him towards the border in its familiar route he not ally takes early in the mornings for a single cat patrol. Except today seemed to be different. His keen nose picked up the smell of another cat nearby. At, the border to be accurate. Narrowing his amber gaze the small tom made his way closer. Pushing his way from the bushes and into the small clear space to find himself staring at a silver tom on the other side of the invisible line. A scowl formed on the dark tabby's maw as he eyes the taller tom in front of him. He was Windclan by scent. On patrol maybe? Then where are the rest of his patrol? He couldn't be here alone could he? True the clans where not exactly friends but they where particularly enemies either. Just sticking to their own clans. The apprentice sized tom plopped down on his side of the border and fixated the taller male with an unwavering blank gaze. Wondering what he would do. He seemed pretty cautious. AURUM

Silverfox's hackles rose in alarm, quiet whilst the presence revealed itself. The dark-pelted tom was definitely not the first assumption the moorlander had thought of. Almost only half his size, Silverfox found it amusing that he was cautious in the first place. A dry smirk appeared on his face. Surely, ThunderClan had more sense than to send this.. apprentice to the border by himself. Silverfox eased the tension in his body, but he made sure to keep his senses sharp for any sign of a threat, either from the cat eyeing him right now or from someone else.
"Where's your mentor, squirt? Is ThunderClan losing its mind, letting apprentices wander as they please?" he commented snidely. Silverfox looked across the stream for any sign that may indicate that there was more than just the other male on the other side. It wouldn't do if a border skirmish took place—he'd be outnumbered. Keeping his guard up but otherwise acting at ease, Silverfox lapped at the cool water. "Honestly I expected a more.. challenging cat to come across, but I guess today's just not my lucky day, huh?"

Amusement flashed in his eyes at the comment. Ah yes, many had mistaken him as an apprentice when they first meet him. It was annoying at first now it got to being amusing to the warrior. He decided to play a bit with the male and cleared his throat. Changing his usually deep and raspy voice to more younger fitting to an apprentice. Ducking his head to act shy and to secretly hide his smirk the dark tabby replied back. "I-I came alone. I wanted to see the forest." He managed to stifle a laugh with a cough. "I guess it wasn't too smart to leave the camp. I never expected I'd meet another clan member....I'm not trained for this!" He made himself sound panicky at the end. "I don't want a fight!" AURUM

Silverfox was taken aback by the response he was given. His ears twitched in interest. This kid's tougher to crack than I thought, he mused, the sly smile on his face growing. Silverfox liked challenges, and he never backed down from any (unless Redwhisper forced him not to, that is). The leggy warrior hummed, nodding his head in time with the latter's stumbling words. He raised a curious eyebrow. "You got greencough there or something, kid? StarClan, how 'bout you speak up? An ant can talk louder than you can, I swear." Silverfox pawed his snout, rubbing out the excess water dripping from his fur. "A fight? Yeah, right, like I'd want my butt kicked out of the Clan. Besides, I don't even think you can hold a fight against a mossball, much less a seasoned warrior like myself," he gestured to his form with his tail for more effect, "so, yeah, nah. Rather not."
The silver-pelted tomcat sprawled himself out on the bank. "Mm.. if I, say, cross this stream, how would you stop me, if you can?" An easy smile settled on his lips, a glint of danger in his eyes. It wouldn't hurt to see what was on the other side, right? Silverfox looked over his shoulder to make sure his sister wasn't around to witness his intentions.

Darkstorm inwardly snickered before glancing up at the question with a fake sheepish smile and a shake of his head. "No. I'd probably be dead if I had green cough. It's just I'm getting over a cold; got pushed in the river by another apprentice." He shrugged as the lie slipped past his lips easily. He perked his ears as the other began speaking about fights and stuff which made the dark tabby hide his face to hide the smirk of amusement but he couldn't stop the laughter from bubbling from his lips. His deep voice rumbling with unsuppressed laughter. He smirked looking back at the tom. Seeing as his facade was broken he didn't need to be all girly anymore. "I'd still kick your butt to the next generation kid. Seasoned warrior my tail." He replied in his normal voice. "Hasn't your mother ever told you never to assume things?" He crooned with a mocking pout as he leaned closer as if telling a secret. His face split in a easy grin waiting for Silverfox's reaction. Oh how he loved watching them flounder and stumble over apologizes at mistaking him as an apprentice once they heard him speak. No one would have expected a deep and raspy voice like his coming from that small body of his. "You're first mistake as a warrior is to underestimate your opponent." He tilted his head at the lounging tom. "Your not too bright are you handsome?" He asked with a lazy look fixated on the silver tom. AURUM
